My visits usually consist of a 30-40 minute story telling session, where I introduce myself and talk about writing in a second language - encouraging the children to tell me about their own backgrounds.

Then there is reading, props a chat about the message in the book followed by an activity or a game - depending which story I am reading. For Nursery, I tend to do a shorter intro, read the book and help with the craft.
